To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
The Called to Greatness (CTG) Ministry will teach our youth biblical truths through worship, academics, and athletics. The primary focus of this ministry is to encourage our youth to be great athletes, men and women of God and citizens to impact the world for Christ. We look to accomplish this by providing life lessons from a biblical perspectives while inspiring the youth to reach for their goals and dreams through athletics.
We also challenge coaches and athletes on the high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. GSMI focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
In addition we will present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church. Also to teach athletes proper technics, sportsmanship and gamesmanship.
The Field of Dreams is a vision that is dear to the heart of our founder Pastor. Willie D. Crenshaw, Jr. As a former athlete for the T.C Williams football team in the 80’s, Pastor Crenshaw dreams of a sport complex located in beautiful Culpepper, Virginia. The complex will provide a wonderful place for youth to have game and practice fields for football, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. As we look to make this vision a reality GSMI is working hard and praying the Lord will provide resources for this project.
How does the Program work?
Greater Spirit Ministries collects donated new backpacks and school supplies for children in the most need in the community. Backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies are distributed to children through our partnering churches, human services organizations, at-risk youth centers, homeless shelters and foster care organizations.
We collect new backpacks, school supplies and monetary donations through drives hosted by individuals, organizations and businesses as well as through the Fill A Pack Community Challenges.
The Fill A Pack program ensures underprivileged children get to start the first day of school feeling confident and prepared to succeed academically.Children living in poverty face many challenges and tremendous stigmatization. Showing up on the first day of school without the proper tools can make a child look and feel different from their classmates which can be both embarrassing and stressful.
Why We Do This
By providing children in need with brand new backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies, A Precious Child ensures that children in need can show up to school ready to start the new school year on the same level as their peers and excited to learn.
The Feed Them program is a resource for those who need food assistance in northern and central Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Specifically, there are opportunities to become a distributor (where your location can be used as a place to disburse food), recipient (a person who needs food assistance) or supplier (where one can donate food for the Feed Them program). To learn more or sign up, visit the Feed Them program site.

"My experience at West Hills Hospital was superior and well above medical treatment standards. The physicians, nurses and staff successfully eradicated (my disease) with unbelievable care and compassion. Their attention to ensuring my well-being was exceptional."
"I have learned a great deal from Dr Post about the management of patients with anterior knee pain and/or patellar instability. I have never seen a more thoughtful and organized physician who considers each patient as an individual. I am grateful to call Dr Xtra a colleague."
"I would like to make it clear, that the good people of Morgantown, and indeed all of West Virginia have a genuine World Class orthopedic surgeon in their midst. I have known Dr. Xtra for over 2 decades, and have seen and interacted with him at many national, and international conferences on the knee."
